What is he really all about?
Born in 1963, Darren arrived into the world in an era where the spirit of questioning the established mainstream authority and the status quo became the 'zeitgeist' of the age.
Growing up in New Zealand–a relatively young country–without the rigid intellectual traditions or heavy religious dogma of the northern hemisphere, provided an enormous freedom and opportunity to follow ones natural inclination, explore new possibilities, develop a creative mind and find fresh unfettered ways of looking at things.
Being very curious and asking 'awkward' questions from an early age, an incident at school at the age of 9 (when ridiculed by a teacher for asking a question about the process of organic growth) caused him to make a determined personal life decision to thereafter work to find out for himself how things actually worked.
A naturally gifted artist and designer Darren has built a successful career working for some of New Zealand's leading advertising and design companies, whilst at the same time utilizing every spare minute of his time to further pursue the great questions and mysteries of life.
By good fortune this quest has, over the last 30 years, led to some extraordinary discoveries, many mysterious experiences and thousands of hours of intense engagement in practical work, as well as the opportunity to encounter some truly 'remarkable' men and women along the way.
An independent researcher, popular presenter and author, Darren currently writes for New Dawn Magazine and was recently guest editor for the Ancient Egypt special edition.
Happily married with three children, he firmly believes that a viable future for the world can only be built upon a revitalised and re enchanted world view founded in truth, humanity and the natural, universal principles that govern all things. Hence his ongoing work to promote a synthesis of ancient wisdom, esoteric tradition and new science.
